In this 1 hour class you will experience an introduction to Kriya Yoga. Great for all levels! We begin with some asana (movement), leading into Pranayama (breath-work), Mudras (hand gestures) and ending with a led meditation. Benefits of Kriya include anxiety relief, stress reduction, trauma release and the breaking of negative thought patterns.

Eco- Somatic Improvisational Dance Class
Through playful improvisation and guided dance scores, movers will explore how the rhythms of the earth live within their own bodies. The session will be a space of curiosity and freedom—where participants can release tension, nurture their nervous systems, and reclaim joy through embodied expression.
Serena’s teaching, rooted in intuition and artistry, carries the influence of ballet, contemporary dance, yoga, and somatic practice, but her focus remains on creating spaces of connection, compassion, and play. Her choreography often speaks to environmental justice, and her classes open a doorway into healing and re-enchantment with the world around us.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and arrive ready to move, breathe, and create. This is an offering for all levels —no dance background needed, only a willingness to listen to the body and explore.

APAture 2025 Festival
Serena will be performing in a 10 minute dance piece featuring asian performing artists Co-presented by Oakland Asian Cultural Center and Asian American Women Artists Association.
Serena is a mixed race movement artist of Indian and white euro decent. Performing in Raychel Hatch’s work, her dancing weaves her Indo-carribean ancestry with contemporary dance.

Hatha Yoga
Our Hatha Yoga class offers a slower, more mindful approach to yoga, making it perfect for anyone new to yoga or looking to deepen their practice. Explore the foundational poses of yoga (asanas) with an emphasis on proper alignment, breath awareness, and body mindfulness. Each posture is held for a few breaths, allowing you to deepen your stretch and cultivate strength, flexibility, and balance. Hatha yoga also incorporates moments of stillness, helping you develop a deeper sense of relaxation and mental clarity. Yoga for Palestine
This will be a donation based Slow Flow Yoga class led by Serena Pickett and Nick Ramos to raise funds for Gaza (all of the proceeds will go to (camp AI-Jawad).
Saturday June 21st is Summer Solstice and International Yoga Day and so we think it is fitting to come together and use the power of Yoga to call for a Free Palestine and an end to genocide. Combing both spiritual and political solidarity. To embody Yoga philosophy we practice ahimsa (non-harm) and Om shanti shanti shanti (world peace).
